All businesses are conducted keeping in mind the target audience. The optimization, keyword choosing all depends on this common denominator. So once a target audience has been identified, and the produce serving them is ready, other webmasters in the same space could be invited to come up with inputs for the product. For the idea to be successful, at least five webmasters should contribute towards the product.

This has two main results. The creator will get around 75% of the gross profit o the sale of the product in spite of the fact that other people created the content. In return for the contributions, the contributing webmasters are given the names and the addresses of all the people who have purchased the produce. This will add up to their customer database.

There have been questions on this practice vis- a- vis business ethics. But having considered the contribution made by the participating webmasters, the customers in a sense partially buy the products from them. So it is only fair that they receive knowledge on their customers.

Some very practical advantages arise out of the practice. Firstly, when the webmasters contribute to a product, they also actively market it. Each one of the contributors also has a link to the site of the products where there are “Contributor Bios” with in turn markets the contributors and finally links back to the contributor’s page. It is a symbiotic relationship that exists.

Secondly and most importantly, the original seller gets an access to the database of the contributors as well. This leads to the rapid increase in the customer base. There are, however certain norms that guide this practice. The contributor to the product should ideally be a major player in the target niche. Being a major player, or one with a reputation means that the customer database will be vast, this in turn means a wider resource base to draw from. Further, if a particular product is able to draw contribution from these “major players”, the product too, in a short while becomes a major player, simply by getting others to contribute to it.
